Meet Ian
I am a fully qualified clinical psychologist with over 30 years’ experience, with a special interest in helping people of all ages understand the social and psychological factors that have led to their difficulties.
I have particular expertise working with people with a history of trauma, adversity, invalidation and abuse. I also have extensive experience supporting young autistic people and those with complicated attachments, including those in care, adopted with loving ‘forever’ parents, or with care experience.
I’m trained to use a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy.
